Hi everyone!

This is The Alley Cat. I want to thank you for visiting this site and taking a look at the goodies we have in store. This website and business has been a long time coming as I’ve learned and grown with the fungi you are looking at and possibly consuming. 

This project started in the midst of uncertainty. I had developed a curiosity for fungi when learning about decomposition and the roles fungi play to start recycling old organic material. There were so many possibilities of how fungi could break things down I couldn’t help but dive deeper into the dark that is the world of fungus. So I made a still air box, got some mason jars and a pressure cooker and tried my hand at a new kind of cultivation. It never stopped amazing me how life could always come even from the waste of other life like dead trees and composted manure. Fungi successfully optimized a bridge from end to start again and have claimed it as their spot on the circle of life.

After years of building on those first few totes and progressing my craft, I’ve enjoyed growing as a person with my crop.I now live for sharing the love I have found in these unlikely forms. 

May these bars bring you joy like they did with me and maybe start a new view on life. The possibilities are just as vast as the forms they take.
